 waxing lyrical
We spend so much time in the wax rooms that we are absolute experts on ingrown hairs. So guys and ladies, follow these simple steps for smooth skin all year round.
exfoliate – to remove surface dead skin cells allowing the hairs to grow through to the surface and allowing products to penerate where they are really needed. (use the world famous magic peeling glove)
never use soap – The build-up on your bath of fats and oils are on your skin as well. YUK! Soap dries out your skin, and with an oily film (like a glad wrap), your hair can’t push through to the surface. (use the Danne anti-bacterial conditioning body wash or pevonia stress free body wash, both are soap free, and keep your skin soft and supple)
moisturise – try using a light moisturiser that continues the exfoliation process and can have additional skin firming properties (Danne maximum moisture cream or a Pevonia body moisturiser are perfect)
wax on time - every 4 to 5 weeks is best or hair growth becomes uneven and can develop up to 3 different growth cycles if left too long.... this may take a couple of wax sessions to correct if you have not kept to a regular waxing routine. The benefit? Your skin will feel silky smooth for longer as all the hair is removed and there are no more additional growth cycles coming through. |
